This programme is designed specifically for runners who struggle with their mental health, have low self-esteem, or have gone through traumatic experiences that continue to impact opon them.

By combining EMDR and mindset coaching, the programme aims towards your mental health recovery, improved self-esteem, and improved running performance.

We’ll work together for between three to nine months hitting the key programme milestone of Deep Understanding, Transformation, and You At Your Best.

You can reclaim your running from being a way to cope so it becomes something you love and choose.

You can reclaim your life from your past experiences so it becomes the life you want and deserve.

Running is a superb way to bolster our mental health but can be overly relied upon or used in unhealthly ways when unless the underlying difficulty is treated.

This programme aims to do just that.

With mental health focused treatment (EMDR and CBT), running focused mindset coaching, support, and complementary bonuses, I know you can run towards your recovery.


Therapy and mindset coaching sessions


Whilst running goes a long way towards supporting our mental wellbeing, runners are not immune to mental health difficulties.

I offer session by session EMDR (eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing therapy), CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), and mindset coaching, tailored to your unique needs.


I’ve worked in the mental health service for 19 years, providing CBT for over ten of these and EMDR for over five years.
We’ll start with a free, no obligation, connection call so that you can ensure I’m the right therapist for you.  From there, sessions are £89 each, starting with a 90 minute assessment followed by 60 minute treatment sessions.

I needed help to nail the anxiety & emotional distress that I felt when cycling, a fairly important part of any triathlon. Cue Michelle. She clearly and simply explained (sometimes with the use of pictures) what was going on in my head and the process (EMDR) she would use to correct it. Some of the sessions were emotionally intense but Michelle was there 100% and I never felt unsupported at any time during the process. Fast forward to my first ride out this year – absolutely amazing. No anxiety or emotional distress, just me riding my bike. I can not recommend this lady enough. This has been truly life changing.


Michelle’s approach to clients is very straightforward, sympathetic and easy to understand. She really helped me understand where my anxiety was coming from and gave me tools to help myself in a simple way. I got great results in a few sessions and other people noticed a change in me. I now know if I have anxiety issues again I will be better placed to handle them.

Seven Ironman’s completed and I knew I needed more specialist help, marginal gains for some but after spending time with Michelle it was much more than marginal gains.  I went to see Michelle to help overcome my swimming fears and I came away with a stronger mindset for all three disciplines and swimming my fastest swim EVER!  The world championships are only around the corner so looking forward to seeing what amazing results we can get this year.
